• Following our announcement in the last newsletter of the merger of the Aotearoa Party with Rock The Vote NZ, we are very pleased to announce that John Alcock has been elected the Leader of Rock The Vote NZ Party by our Board.

 

• John Alcock brings a wide range of skills, experience and knowledge to the role. As a lawyer, former Business Development Manager for the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists to New Zealand, entrepreneur and political figure, John’s track record demonstrates consistent success, grounded in honesty and integrity.

 

• John’s recent interview by Leighton Smith on the Leighton Smith Podcast about the future of currency in New Zealand and the planned introduction of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) was very well received, and due to popular demand, John has been invited back for a further discussion with Leighton Smith so keep an eye on our social media channels for the details of when the interview will air.

• John also heads up our new National Politics Sub-Committee and we look forward to what the team will come up with, including refining Rock The Vote NZ’s policies, lobbying government, such as letter-writing to MPs, writing submissions and articles, and continuing to work for unity of the minor parties before the next general election.
